ESCONDIDO: TWO HOME COMPOUND
The word Escondido implies "refuge" and "hidden." This compound's 135-foot driveway places its' two homes, Mariposa and Serena, deep in the privacy and seclusion of an old residential block. This pervasive sense of quietness is enhanced by the high, flowering vine-covered "coyote fence" which surrounds The Compound.
Serena is further protected by its own gated entrance and has both a generous front portal and back sun-deck. In the summer, Mariposa's trumpet-vine laden front portal is an especially gracious and inviting outdoor gathering place. Both homes offer glimpses of the Sandia Mountains to the south.
Mariposa and Serena are situated 30' apart and offer both privacy and connectedness. They may be booked separately or together to accommodate up to 10 people and two cars. Additional on-street parking is by permit.
