HACIENDA ROSA (A Living Museum)

Hacienda Rosa, our most spacious house, is a rambling 178 year old home impeccably restored with hand-mudded walls, three fireplaces, high viga-beam ceilings, and brick and pine floors. With its myriad of evocative Southwest/International artifacts, staying in Hacienda Rosa is akin to living in a Colonial Museum – but with a gourmet kitchen to satisfy your every craving, i-pod docking station, high-speed internet access and HD Cable TV. Situated in a prime location 2 ˝ blocks north of the Plaza, the hillside view reaches across the historic adobes of downtown Santa Fe and rises to the rocky Sandia Mountains beyond. The 2200 square foot 3 bedroom/2 bath home consists of two separate, private sleeping/gathering areas. One section contains living, dining, kitchen and 2 bedrooms that share a bath. In this section, one bedroom has the option of a king or two twin beds, the other is a queen. The other section enters into its own welcoming living room with adjacent sitting room/office and from there into a queen bedroom/bath suite. The L-shaped home encircles a secluded outdoor garden with seating that celebrates the view. Roses bloom amidst organic vegetables, six varietals of grapes, and fruit trees. Being in guest-house Rosa conjures up life in a self-contained, historic Hacienda of a by-gone era. Sleeps six max.

Special Notes:
Please note that bathrooms have claw-foot tub/showers authentic to the period; guests need appropriate mobility.
Also, guests are asked to be respectful of the home –especially the labor intensive hand-mudded walls and rare artifacts.
